Why Soft-Soap Gore?
I have been taping “All My Children” and “General Hospital” for 20 years. “General Hospital” just got deleted from my VCR (“Daytime Stars on Soapbox for Gore-Lieberman Ticket,” by Dana Calvo, Oct. 14).
Isn’t it strange that people representing a party who accuse “those rich Republicans” of not caring for the “working people,” and who earn upward of $5,000 per soap episode, don’t even bother to tip the valets?
To Tony Geary, regarding legislating morality, which party seems to think the answer to every problem is passing a new law? And to Stephen Nichols, are you really in such a fantasy world about your importance to believe that viewers are “more loyal about their soap stars than about their politicians?”
So, Nancy Grahn, this female ex-viewer was presented with a good reason to vote Bush-Cheney as a result of your gathering.

In reading the article about the soap stars for Gore rally, I had to wonder: Is this really the kind of support Gore needs?
Tony Geary states that Bush wants a country “where morality is legislated.” He should just be glad it’s not a country where better acting is legislated.
