Motorcyclist Hit by Car Critically Hurt
A Victorville man remained in critical condition Tuesday night after his motorcycle hit a car that was turning left from southbound Las Posas Road onto the northbound Pacific Coast Highway onramp.
Chris Dingmon, 26, was thrown nearly 50 feet in the air when his motorcycle collided with a car driven by Joyce Gates of Malibu about 4:30 p.m. Monday, said Officer James Nees of the California Highway Patrol.
Dingmon was northbound on Las Posas Road near Point Mugu at a high rate of speed when he hit the car heading southbound, Nees said.
Dingmon was transported by helicopter to St John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard with two broken arms, a broken pelvis and head injuries, Nees said.
