West L.A. Man Dies After Car Hits Tree
SHERMAN OAKS — A 22-year-old West Los Angeles man died after crashing his car into a tree early Saturday, Los Angeles Police said.
Daniel Bahnar Granett was driving north on Sepulveda Boulevard about 1:20 a.m. when he ran off the road and hit a tree at Royal Woods Drive, said Officer Brett Murray of the LAPD Valley Traffic Division.
Granett, who apparently was wearing his seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
A 19-year-old Moorpark man who was a passenger suffered minor injuries and was transported to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, police said.
The cause of the accident is under investigation, said police.
