Valley Hospital Breaks Ground for Addition
Valley Presbyterian Hospital, Van Nuys, has broken ground on a six-story, 180-bed hospital tower. The tower is designed to be fully compliant with California’s new seismic requirement code for hospitals.
Besides building the 127,000-square-foot, $40-million tower, scheduled to open in the summer of 2002, the hospital will undergo retrofitting of its existing buildings.
The architectural firm Lee Burkhart Liu Inc. of Santa Monica designed the project.
