Events to Help Fund Thanksgiving Meals
Pacific View Mall will host a fund-raising event Saturday to help pay for Thanksgiving meals provided for the underprivileged by Food Share, Ventura County’s food bank.
“Community in Bloom: Turning Flowers into Food” will feature floral displays, face painting and flower demonstrations.
On Sunday, performing arts enthusiasts and mall patrons will catch a sneak preview of the upcoming production of “The Nutcracker” at the mall.
The Ventura County Ballet Company will perform excerpts of the holiday production at 1 and 3 p.m. Sunday at Pacific View’s community plaza at Main and Mills streets.
Visitors can see the full “Nutcracker” ballet at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 18 and 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Nov. 19 at the Oxnard Performing Arts Center, 800 Hobson Way, Oxnard.
Tickets are $19, $15 and $10. A family packet of four tickets for $45 is also available.
