Patricia L. Collom, a dental technician, died Saturday at a Ventura hospital after a brief illness. She was 57.
Collom, a Fillmore resident, was born Dec. 7, 1943, in Mare Island, Calif.
She worked as a dental technician for 40 years and most recently worked for the Salvation Army of Oxnard. She was a member of the Ventura County Dental Society and California State Dental Society for more than 30 years. She was also a member of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Collom moved to Ventura County 35 years ago from Virginia.
She is survived by her husband of eight months, Randy Collom of Fillmore; three daughters, Cheryl Lord of Ventura, Holly Quinones of Glendale and Valery Cubbedge of Reseda; a son, Jonathan Jue of Chehalis, Wash.; a sister, Marsha Cover of Santa Paula; and nine grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday with a funeral service at 11 a.m. at Ted Mayr Funeral Home in Ventura. Capt. Norman Patton and Capt. Debra Patton of the Oxnard Salvation Army will officiate. Burial will follow at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park in Ventura.
Arrangements are under the direction of Ted Mayr Funeral Home in Ventura.
