Workshop Offers Help for Area Home Buyers
Prospective home buyers seeking extra money and detailed information on buying a house can attend a free “School of Home Buying” workshop Saturday.
Those who complete the workshop, open to all area residents, may apply for grants to cover down payments on homes in most Ventura County neighborhoods. They may also apply for low-interest home loans if they have lived in Thousand Oaks for at least six months.
The workshop will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Ventura County Area Housing Authority offices, 1400 W. Hillcrest Drive, Newbury Park.
Seating is limited. Call 531-1818 for reservations, which are required.
