Mom Beaten After Son Scores Winning Run
SALT LAKE CITY — The mother of a boy who scored the winning run in a baseball game was knocked unconscious by two angry parents from the losing team, police said Tuesday.
After her 15-year-old son’s run in the youth league game, two women allegedly poked Cindy Morrison with an umbrella, hit her with a baby stroller and punched her in the face. Morrison was unconscious when police arrived and was treated at a hospital for cuts and bruises. One unidentified woman was arrested for investigation of aggravated assault. The other assailant in the Sunday incident remained at large, police said.
