Armed Robber Sought in Gas Station Holdups
Police are searching for a man who worn a fake mustache and sported a tear-drop tattoo under his left eye in connection with three armed robberies that occurred within an hour on Friday, authorities said.
The man, between 30 and 40 years old, about 5 feet 6 and about 160 pounds, was last seen trying to rob a restaurant in the 22200 block of Sherman Way at 9:10 a.m., Los Angeles Police Officer Eduardo Funes said.
A man matching that description and armed with an automatic handgun robbed three Valley gas stations in quick succession shortly after the restaurant incident, Funes said.
Anyone with information is asked to call West Valley robbery detectives at (818)345-2210.
