Cruising for Prosperity

Excellent article about Baja California (“Baja Brainstorm: Build Ports for Those Yachts,” Travel Insider, June 17).

I intend to retire to my boat in that area in the next five to seven years. It will be fantastic if Mexico’s president, Vicente Fox, can make it happen--not just for us mariners but also for the prosperity and quality of life for our Mexican neighbors and the generations to follow.

Baja can easily become a vacation destination for the world, like Cancun.
