3 O.C. Men Are Victims in Fatal Norco Shooting
Three men fatally shot near a Norco nightclub early Friday were identified Saturday as residents of Orange County.
Police said Rafael Chamu Jr., 24, of Santa Ana and Jose Gustavo Rodriguez, 21, of Tustin died in a strip mall parking lot shortly after the 2:10 a.m. shooting, which investigators said followed an argument between the trio and at least two other men.
Denim Tomas Gonzales, 21, of Tustin was taken to Riverside Community Hospital, where he died at 3:15 a.m., police said.
Police said the argument started at A Mi Hacienda, a restaurant and nightclub about 50 yards from the shooting scene.
Police said the argument escalated and the men all went outside.
Witnesses told investigators that two or three men in a Chevrolet Suburban rammed the victims’ vehicles before the shootings.
