Spam I Am
SatireWire, a Web site that exists to make merciless merriment of “new economy” pundits, is hosting its Second Annual Poetry Spam competition. Poems are assembled entirely of phrases contained in e-mail spam.
Here’s a sample from last year’s winner, titled “Electrigel Creme.”
“It’s true you can earn $50,000 in the next 90 days
“You really can find out ANYTHING ABOUT ANYONE!
“A university diploma is waiting for you!
“But no product is more effective than,
“Electrigel Creme ...
” ... What does it do?
“That’s right. It really really does.”
Entries to the Web site are due Dec. 31. Act now!
