No Terrorist Funding Found in Records Search

An official said no terrorist groups were found with any financial network in Indonesia, the world’s most populous Muslim nation, but he pledged to keep investigating.
Foreign Minister Hasan Wirayudha welcomed the finding. Indonesia has struggled with perceptions about Islamic extremism amid local protests against the U.S. bombing of Afghanistan.
Officials found no accounts linked to terrorist groups detailed on a list sent by the United Nations. Had any accounts been found, they were to be frozen by the country’s banks.
