73 Prison Officials Are Ordered Arrested
From Times Wire Reports
Mexican authorities ordered the arrest of 73 prison employees in connection with the escape of a reputed top drug trafficker from a maximum-security prison last month.
The prison officials are accused of facilitating the Jan. 19 escape of Joaquin “Chapo” Guzman, who apparently hid in a laundry or garbage truck that was leaving the Puente Grande prison outside Guadalajara. Guzman was serving more than 20 years for criminal association and bribery.
