Infant’s Body Found in El Monte Alley
The body of a newborn was discovered Friday in an alley off a major El Monte thoroughfare, police said. The baby was found by a passerby about 6:20 p.m. near a trash bin in the 10300 block of Garvey Avenue, El Monte Police Lt. Marcy Vail said.
El Monte police and Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department homicide detectives are investigating. The cause of the infant’s death has not been determined.
