Hopping Takes Helm of Alliance Imaging
Jamie Hopping has joined Alliance Imaging Inc. in Anaheim as president and chief operating officer. She was most recently an executive health care consultant. Before that, Hopping was president of the Western Group for Columbia/HCA Healthcare Corp., responsible for 60 hospitals in 13 states. She succeeds Vincent Pino, who will remain with Alliance as an advisor for the next two years.
* Dale Wight has been appointed chief financial officer for MTI Technology Corp. in Anaheim. Paul Emery, MTI’s chief operating officer, had been acting chief financial officer. Before joining the company, Wight was the executive director of finance at Informix Software Inc. and prior to that director of finance at Quantum Corp.
* Barry R. Lathan has been appointed president and chief operating officer of Prism Software Corp. in Lake Forest. He was formerly president and chief executive of Xerox ColorgrafX Systems Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Xerox Corp.
* Brigitte M. Bren has been elected to the board of directors of Ambassadors International Inc. in Newport Beach. She is co-founder, president and chief executive of International Strategic Planning, a business consulting firm, and is counsel at the international law firm of Arter & Hadden LLP.
* Andrew H. Parnes and Clay A. Halvorsen have been promoted to senior vice president positions at Standard Pacific Corp. in Irvine. Parnes joined the company in 1989 and has been treasurer since 1991. He was named chief financial officer in 1996 and vice president-finance in 1997. Halvorsen joined Standard Pacific in 1998 as vice president, general counsel and secretary. He was formerly a partner with Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP.
* C. Gregory Schonert has been named vice president, business development for Health Care Property Investors Inc. He was formerly senior vice president, acquisitions and development, and chief development officer of American Health Properties Inc., which was acquired in November 1999 by Health Care Property Investors. Schonert has also held senior-level positions at St. Joseph Hospital, American Medical International, John Short & Associates/Hayes-Hill Inc. and the state of Texas Legislature Budget Board.
* Seamus McManus has been named general manager of the St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort in Dana Point, scheduled to open in August. He had been managing director of Meadowood in Napa Valley and the Inn at Southbridge. Before that, he was general manager of the Kahala Mandarin Oriental in Hawaii.
* Philip Hashway has been appointed chief executive of UltraLink in Costa Mesa. Hashway had been chief operating officer. Jeff Graves, former chief executive, was named vice chairman of the board of directors. Before joining UltraLink, Hashway was senior director for Compaq Computer Corp.
* Rebekah Whitehouse has been appointed vice president, consumer sales for PacifiCare Health Systems Inc. in Santa Ana. In her new position, she will lead the company’s Women’s Health Initiative, expected to begin in early 2002. Whitehouse joined PacifiCare last year as director of consumer sales. Previously, she was a regional consumer sales manager at Cigna Healthcare.
* Jean A. Hobart, an Irvine attorney, has been elected to the board of Consumer Attorneys of California, formerly known as the California Trial Lawyers Assn.
* Carolyn Zainer has joined Buyproduce in Irvine as senior vice president of sales. Previously, Zainer held a number of positions at SVI Retail, formerly Island Pacific, including vice president for worldwide sales and marketing.
* Jeroen Gerrese has been named general manager of the Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort in Dana Point. He was previously opening general manager for Moscow’s Marriott Royal Hotel and general manager of London’s Millennium Britannia Hotel.
* Don Anzalone has been appointed vice president of procurement and planning for Viking Components Inc. in Rancho Santa Margarita. He was formerly senior manager of NEC Electronics Inc.’s memory sales.
* Lonnie P. Nadal has been named senior vice president of acquisitions and development for CT Realty Corp. in Newport Beach. He was previously senior vice president of acquisitions and development for Pacific Gulf Properties Inc. and before that vice president of operations. Nadal was also a partner and vice president with Lincoln Property Co.
* Maureen Hoang is the new marketing coordinator for Ware & Malcomb Architects Inc. in Irvine. She joined the firm in 1998 as marketing assistant.
* Parsa Rohani is the new vice president of marketing and strategic planning at Procom Technology Inc. in Santa Ana, and John Bonne is vice president of worldwide sales. Rohani was at Microsoft Corp. for more than 10 years in sales, engineering and marketing management positions. Before that, he was senior software engineer for Hughes Aircraft. Bonne was previously senior vice president of sales at Sharp Microelectronics, chief executive of Sanyo Icon, senior vice president of sales at McDonnell Douglas Computer Systems division; and manager of corporate computer sales at Xerox.
