Vegas Group Plans to Build 3 Casino-Hotels
A group of developers announced it has acquired 77 acres of land at the south end of the Las Vegas Strip, bordering McCarran International Airport, and is seeking partners to build three casino-hotels there. The principals include Barry J. Fieldman and Robert G. Unger, whose local developments include the Showcase Mall near the MGM Grand. The group has won Federal Aviation Administration approval to build as high as 427 feet--about 40 stories.
