Trojans Can’t Hold the Lead

Katie Nyseth scored 18 points as Washington State overcame a seven-point halftime deficit to defeat the Trojans, 79-78, in the Pacific 10 Conference opener for both teams at Pullman, Wash.
Ebony Hoffman scored 21 points for the Trojans, 5-6 overall and 0-1 in the Pac-10, who were done in by poor shooting. The Trojans made only 28 of 77 attempts (36.4%). Washington State (6-5, 1-0) was 29 of 58 from the field (50%).
