Sylmar 4, Hollywood 1--Angel Benitez scored twice for the Spartans (5-4-3) in the quarterfinals of the Sylmar tournament.

Hart 7, Burbank 0--Ali Pavoni and Dee Dee Sanguinetti each scored two goals for the Indians (7-4-3, 1-0-1) in a Foothill League game at Burbank.
Chaminade 1, Notre Dame 0--Kim Taylor scored unassisted in the 39th minute of a Mission League game at Chaminade.
Calabasas 8, Santa Clara 0--Katie Auerbech scored three goals for Calabasas (7-7-1) in a Frontier League opener at Santa Clara.
Nordhoff 10, Malibu 0--Stacey Canfield scored three goals for the Rangers (7-5-1) in a Frontier League game at Pepperdine.
Louisville 3, Flintridge Prep 1--Jenney Farenbaugh scored the game-winner in overtime for Louisville (11-4-1) in a nonleague game at the Glendale Soccer Complex.
GIRLS’ WATER POLO
Notre Dame 21, Malibu 2--Sammy Zuckerman scored six goals and Jen Santoro had four goals in a nonleague game at Valley College.
Notre Dame is 6-3.
MEN’S BASKETBALL
The Master’s 100, Cal Christian 71--Jimmy Mackey and Dominic Avila each scored 16 points to lead six players in double figures for the Mustangs (11-7) in a nonconference victory at Master’s.
Jacy Armbruster scored 14, Kenny Jackson had 13, Todd Whittington added 11 and Brett DeVries had 10 for Master’s, which took a 58-29 halftime lead.
Derek Foster of Cal Christian (9-9) had 22 points but made only seven of 20 shots.
Cal Christian made only 27 of 72 shots (37.5%), including 11 of 34 (32.4%) in the first half.
Cal Lutheran 78, Concordia 64--Justin Muth had 22 points and nine rebounds for the Kingsmen (6-4) in a Cal Lutheran tournament victory.
