Microsoft to Extend Ingram Micro’s Contract

Ingram Micro Inc., the world’s largest wholesaler of technology products, said Tuesday that its U.S. IM-Logistics division has agreed with Microsoft Corp. on a two-year extension of its logistics services contract for Microsoft’s retail direct program. Financial terms weren’t released.

Ingram Micro in Santa Ana said in a news release that the division will continue to provide full-service logistics support for Microsoft’s packaged software and hardware products to retail direct-channel customers located at more than 7,500 retail outlets throughout the U.S. and Canada.

IM-Logistics services include warehousing; pick, pack and shipment of products; customer service; order management; returns/reverse logistics; accounts receivable; merchandising; and information technology services.
