Congratulations to Los Angeles Deputy Mayor Noelia Rodriguez (Jan. 9) on her appointment as Laura Bush’s press aide--in spite of her high school counselor, who told her to develop secretarial skills rather than apply to college. If everyone listened to these high school guidance counselors, a lot of talent would be lost, including President-elect George W. Bush.
