Naked Man Breaks Into Two Houses
Police are searching for a man who broke into two homes while naked early Tuesday morning.
The man forced his way into a 26-year-old woman’s home on Charing Cross Drive about 5:25 a.m., authorities said. The naked man woke up the woman, who ran to a neighbor’s home for help.
The same man, still naked, apparently broke into a two-story home four blocks away on Garrett Circle about 6:47 a.m.
A 49-year-old man living in the home found the intruder and struggled with him, authorities said. The naked man fled through a bathroom window after the resident forced him to the first floor of the house.
Police used helicopters and ground patrols to search for the man, who may have suffered injuries to the arms, legs and back while struggling with the male resident and crawling through the window.
Authorities said the man was probably under the influence of drugs.
He was described as 18 to 25 years old, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, 120 to 150 pounds, with short black hair and possibly a mustache. Anyone with information is asked to call the Huntington Beach Police Department at (714) 375-5066.
