No Bucks for the Bang
Three cheers for Steve Lopez’s brilliant “Pentagon Boondoggle at $100 Million a Pop” (July 20), on the recent missile defense test. It’s time for people to demand an end to the continuing waste of billions of dollars on “Star Wars” fantasies, which only divert needed funds into corporate coffers and away from the real needs of real people. But are our representatives in Congress listening? And will they have the strength and conviction to act?
