110-Pound Akita Bites Bike Rider, 2 Others

A bicycle rider was bitten by a 110-pound dog here early Thursday, police said. The cyclist, 22-year-old Randy Kreager of Fullerton, was traveling on Pine Street about 3:50 a.m. when he was attacked by an Akita, police said. Two neighbors who came to his aid were also bitten, authorities said.
Police used a garden hose to coax the dog back into its yard. The owner later surrendered the dog to Orange County Animal Control officers. The three victims were treated at the scene by paramedics.
