Subtract the Ads
I agree that the overabundance of advertising has gotten way out of hand (“Nowhere to Run, Nowhere to Hide from Ad Barrage,” July 24). There is one place where it bothers me more than any other--the beach. I go there to get away from this stuff. Yet you hear the loud engine, you open your eyes and--there it is--yet another airplane towing a stupid banner hawking some restaurant or radio station. This is where they cross the line, in my opinion. Can we please pass some laws to prevent this?
