Shameless Murderer

* Upon being sentenced to 20 years to life for murder (“Pediatrician Gets 20 Years to Life for Killing Pregnant Lover,” March 9), Kevin Anderson says, “This has been a terrible, terrible tragedy for everyone involved.” His wife claims that she too is a victim and supports her husband. The self-absorption and callousness in both these statements is mind-boggling. Anderson strangled to death Dr. Deepti Gupta, who was carrying his child, doused her body in gasoline and then pushed her over a cliff to try to hide his actions. Wow. Who exactly was the victim here and who the monster?

Anderson’s lawyer claims that Anderson is a “decent person, notwithstanding his conviction.” There is nothing decent about what he did. I pray that Anderson never walks free again.
