Woman Thrown From Rolling Car Dies
An Anaheim woman thrown from her car Wednesday as it overturned on the Garden Grove Freeway has died from her injuries, police said Friday.
Helen Kim Hoang Pham, 22, suffered major head injuries in the accident. She was taken to Long Beach Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead Thursday, said Officer Sergio Flores of the California Highway Patrol.
Pham was traveling west on the freeway at Springdale Street when her 1996 Honda Accord veered to the left and struck the concrete divider, Flores said. The woman was alone in the vehicle and was not wearing a seat belt.
An investigation is continuing. Police ask that anyone who witnessed the accident call (714) 892-4426.
