Man Found Shot to Death Inside Car

A man was found shot to death inside a car in Van Nuys on Saturday morning, authorities said.
The victim, who had been shot in the chest, was inside a Ford Crown Victoria in a parking lot behind Albertson’s grocery store near Van Nuys Boulevard and Wyandotte Street, police said. The car’s engine was running when the man was found by a resident about 6:50 a.m.
Police said the shooting did not appear to be gang-related.
