Fire Damages Top of Office Building
From Times Staff Reports
Firefighters battled a blaze Saturday at the top of a five-story building that caused $400,000 in damage, authorities said.
Most of the damage from the fire, reported at 5:55 p.m., was to three accounting firm suites on the fifth floor, said Beverly Hills Fire Chief Bob Cavaglieri. The building, which also houses a bank and a mortgage firm, is on Beverly Drive near Wilshire Boulevard.
The fire took 30 minutes to put out, Cavaglieri said, adding that the cause was being investigated. No one was injured.
