Chapman President Gets Horatio Alger Award

Chapman University President James L. Doti was named this week as one of the year’s 10 winners of the Horatio Alger Award.
The prize, awarded by the Horatio Alger Assn., recognizes Americans who have risen from humble beginnings to make significant achievements.
Also among this year’s winners are baseball great Lou Brock; Richard Davidson, chairman and chief executive of Union Pacific Corp.; and George L. Graziadio Jr., chairman of Comerica Bank.
Doti, 55, has been president of the Orange campus since 1991.
