Prosecutor to Be Named Manhattan U.S. Attorney
From Times Wire Reports
Veteran federal prosecutor James Comey, who created a highly regarded gun control program in Richmond, Va., and this year helped arrange a major international terrorism indictment, is expected to be named the U.S. attorney in Manhattan.
Comey, 40, is managing assistant U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia.
In June, Comey helped bring an indictment against 14 people for bombing the Khobar Towers military apartments in Saudi Arabia and killing 19 U.S. servicemen.
