Volunteers Are Sought for Thanksgiving Meal
La Casa Garcia, which sponsors an annual Thanksgiving dinner in Orange County, is looking for volunteers to help prepare the holiday meal for thousands of people.
For the last 17 years, Frank Garcia and his Anaheim restaurant have been serving Thanksgiving dinners to more than 3,000 people from needy families of all backgrounds.
The dinners are served in the parking lot of the restaurant with the help of hundreds of volunteers from many organizations.
This year, Garcia will add four locations and expects to serve about 20,000 meals altogether.
More than 1,000 volunteers are needed to prepare the dinners. To help, call We Give Thanks Inc. at (714) 772-2777.
