Feminist Film Director Is Released From Jail

Prominent feminist film director Tahmineh Milani, arrested last week, was released on bail, the Islamic Republic News Agency reported.
Milani is accused of supporting counterrevolutionary and armed opposition groups. The Revolutionary Court, dominated by political hard-liners, accused her of supporting “those waging war against God” in her latest movie, “The Hidden Half.”
