Man Throws Wife to Street, Kills Self
A man threw his wife from their third-story apartment window Wednesday night, shot her and then killed himself, authorities said.
The woman, in her 40s, was in critical condition at a hospital, said Los Angeles Police Officer Jason Lee.
The attack occurred about 7 p.m. in the 900 block of Bonnie Brae Street in the Pico-Union district, police said. The man, 60, climbed down from the apartment and shot his wife “a couple of times” as she lay in an alley, Lee said. Then the man turned the gun on himself.
Their names were not released.
