Whiteley Resigns as Westminster Coach
Westminster High baseball Coach Bill Whiteley, whose Ryan Klesko-led Lions reached the Southern Section Division I semifinals in 1986, has resigned because of health reasons.
Whiteley’s Westminster teams won two Golden West League titles during his six seasons. He coached the last three years and from 1984-86. He also coached at Garden Grove Pacifica and has a career record of 111-59.
