Arriving: Joe Klein, a staff writer at the New Yorker magazine and author of the novels “Primary Colors” and “The Running Mate,” will join Time magazine in January to write a regular column on national and international affairs.
Departing: Peter Garrett, the bald, imposing lead singer of Australian rock band Midnight Oil, is quitting the group after more than two decades.

The group’s performance at the Schottenstein Center will take place Sept. 28, promoters said.
