Group Urges Firing of Registrar, Aide
A Latino-rights group wants Orange County Registrar Rosalyn Lever and her deputy fired in the wake of this week’s last-minute scramble to process 8,000 uncounted ballots.
The election results didn’t change in the five cities affected by the missing votes.
Amin David, chairman of Los Amigos of Orange County, said the county’s elections division has had too many glitches. He was particularly critical of Chief Deputy Registrar Steve Rodermund, accusing him of taking a “Madison Avenue sales approach” to voter concerns.
