Housing grants will benefit L.A.
The Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco said Tuesday that it has awarded a record $50 million in grants for thousands of affordable housing units, a large portion of which is slated for California projects.
The funds will help create 7,703 units, including 29 low-rent units at Saticoy Gardens in Van Nuys and 30 rental units in East L.A.
More than $43 million is earmarked for California projects, including 17 projects in L.A., one in Orange County, and one each in Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
