Man Arrested in Slaying of 8-Year-Old Girl

A man sought in the killing of his girlfriend’s 8-year-old daughter has been arrested in Alabama.
Jamal Abeokuto, 23, of Baltimore was arrested Tuesday after officials talked him out of a barricaded hotel room in Birmingham, the FBI’s Mike Saltz said.
Abeokuto agreed not to contest extradition.
Abeokuto had been wanted in the killing of Marciana Ringo, who was missing nine days before her body was found Dec. 12 in a wooded area in suburban Harford County.
