Manhunt Continues in Death of Infant Girl
From Times Wire Reports
Police across the state searched for a man accused of shooting his 8-month-old daughter to death during a Christmas Day domestic dispute.
Eladio Navarro, 38, was believed to be headed for Mexico, a Houston police official said.
Navarro’s wife, Alma Mosqueda, 32, told reporters he was trying to shoot her in the heart because he believed she was having an affair with his brother.
Instead, he fatally shot infant daughter Mayeli in the chest as Mosqueda held the child.
Navarro has been charged with capital murder.
