Boy Scout Troop to Mark 80th Anniversary
Boy Scout Troop 102 is inviting past and present members to celebrate its 80th anniversary Feb. 17 at First United Methodist Church, 1336 E. Santa Clara St.
The event will begin at 1 p.m. with an awards ceremony, followed by displays of Scouting memorabilia, refreshments and sharing of troop history and anecdotes.
Preceding the reunion activities will be a “Scout Sunday” acknowledgment during the 9 a.m. service.
The troop is requesting from former members additional historical information and memorabilia to display at the event. There is a special need for items from the troop’s first 40 years.
