Bicyclist Struck, Killed by Car Is Identified

The identity of a bicyclist who was struck and killed when she turned in front of a car in Costa Mesa was released Sunday by the county coroner’s office.
Kelly Vollen, 41, of Costa Mesa was killed when she was hit by a car at 12:10 p.m. Saturday on Bristol Street, south of Newport Boulevard, authorities said.
