Kansas’ bid for an undefeated season in the Big 12 Conference is alive--barely. All it took was 110 points and clutch three-point shooting in overtime.

Drew Gooden scored 28 points and Jeff Boschee made two three-point baskets in overtime, helping the No. 2-ranked Jayhawks defeat Texas, 110-103, Monday night at Austin, Texas.

Kansas (22-2, 11-0 in conference) is vying for its first Big 12 regular-season title since 1998.

“I thought we did lose our poise,” Kansas Coach Roy Williams said. “But I think we answered their baskets and challenges.”

Texas, which matched Kansas’ transition game nearly basket for basket, gave up 100 points for the first time since a 102-72 defeat to the Jayhawks in 1997-98.

Brandon Mouton had 25 points for Texas (16-8, 7-4).
