Brigham Young (10-2) at Pepperdine (6-6), 5, Fox Sports Net 2, KPLS (830)--The Waves complete one of the most difficult nonconference schedules in the nation with a test against a hot Cougar team that’s knocking on the top-25 door. Sophomore forward Glen McGowan, who was suspended for the first semester for his involvement in a fight with teammate Will Kimble, returns. BYU has won eight in a row, including an upset of Stanford last month.

Loyola Marymount (7-6) at Portland State (5-7), 7, KXLU-FM (88.9)--The Lions purged the memory of a bad loss at Montana by pasting Occidental on Tuesday night. Portland State has victories over Arizona State and Santa Clara.

UC Riverside (5-6, 2-1) at UC Irvine (9-4, 2-0), 7, KDOC (Channel 56, 9 p.m.), KUCI-FM (88.9), KPRO (1570)--Irvine needed a 23-6 run over the final eight minutes to rally past Cal State Fullerton on Thursday and extend its home winning streak to 17 games. Riverside picked up one of its biggest wins since moving up to Division I with its victory at Long Beach State.

Utah State (10-2, 3-1) at UC Santa Barbara (9-3, 3-0), 7--It’s an early Big West showdown between the defending champion Aggies and the first-place Gauchos.
