USC (8-6, 4-1) at Washington (8-5, 3-1), 7--The Trojans, winners of five of their last six games, including an 87-66 victory over Washington State on Friday, are off to their best start in the Pac-10 since 1997. Coach Chris Gobrecht, in her fifth season at USC, was Washington’s coach from 1988-96, winning a school-record 243 games against 89 defeats. Washington holds a 17-13 lead in the all-time series between the schools.

UCLA (4-9, 1-4) at Washington State (2-12, 0-4), 2--Despite senior center Shalada Allen’s career-high 16 points, the Bruins couldn’t overcome hot-shooting Washington on Friday, losing, 86-53. Today they face the Cougars, who are mired in a nine-game losing streak and still looking for their first conference victory. Cougar freshman Francine McCurtain scored a season-high 23 points, in the loss to USC.
