The engagement of Elizabeth Mary Kent, daughter of Dr. John S. Kent of Newport Coast and Ann E. Kent of Costa Mesa, and David Edward House, son of Donald W. House of Canoga Park and Karen E. Evans of Cheyenne, Wyo., has been announced.
The bride-elect graduated with honors from Newport Harbor High School and graduated cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. She is an account strategist with Amies Communications.
The groom graduated from Thousand Oaks High and received a bachelor of science degree in aerospace engineering from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. He works as a systems engineer for TRW.
An April 6 wedding is planned.

Michael Cabori
Sonja Muir and Michael Cabori exchanged vows in a private ceremony in Long Beach on Dec. 1. A reception followed at the Museum of Latin American Art in Long Beach.
The bride, the daughter of Ron and Irma Muir of Seal Beach, received a bachelor’s degree from UCLA and a law degree from Tulane University Law School.
The groom, son of Joseph and Diana Cabori of Cerritos, received a bachelor’s degree from Cal State Long Beach and his law degree from UC Davis.
Both the bride and groom are defense attorneys in Orange County.
The couple honeymooned in Paris and live in Long Beach.

Lori Anne Bates and Christopher John Gardner exchanged vows at Temescal Gateway Park in Pacific Palisades. A reception followed on the Cabaret Hornblower yacht in Newport Beach.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bates of Huntington Beach. She graduated from Marina High School and with honors from Brooks College with a bachelor of arts degree in fashion design. She is a freelance designer.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Gardner of St. Louis, Mo. He graduated from Georgetown University and is employed at Aspen Technology in Cambridge, Mass.
The couple honeymooned on the Santa Barbara coast and live in Boxford, Mass.

Tom Titus of Costa Mesa and Beth Titus of Orange announce the engagement of their daughter, Melinda Beth “Mindy” Titus to Aaron Scott Mills, son of Richard and Rebecca Mills of Placentia.
The bride-elect is a 1997 honor graduate of Estancia High in Costa Mesa and a 2001 graduate of UC Irvine. She is employed as a member services representative at Wescom Credit Union in Tustin.
The groom is a 1999 graduate of El Dorado High in Placentia and is employed at Prudential California Realty in Brea.
A March 23 is planned at the Living Spring Christian Fellowship in Garden Grove, with a reception to follow at Westminster Manor in Westminster.
