Overpopulation Bomb
Overpopulation is the root cause of many of the world’s problems. It has affected the air we breathe, the water we drink, the food we eat, our natural resources and our economic well-being.
I can sympathize with those people from “deprived areas” who wish to immigrate, either legally or illegally, into countries that offer better opportunities for a better quality of life. At the same time, it is the duty of these countries to protect the standard of living of their citizens by not allowing excessive immigration to diminish it.
Unfortunately, the United States appears to exacerbate overpopulation in our country by making it easier for illegal immigrants to enter and offering unwarranted incentives, once they arrive. Overpopulation equals disaster.
