TIPS OF THE WEEK
Need a Tip on Tipping?
The restaurant tab arrives just as the wine and food coma sinks in. What to do? Meal Tip is a software for the Palm operating system that calculates the tip depending on how satisfied you are with the service, from delighted (20%) to steaming mad (10%). It will even split the total tab among the number of diners in the party. The $7 shareware program, compatible on any Palm OS-based hand-held computer, can be downloaded at www.setocorp.com.
Dear Digital Diary
Ever wanted to read someone else’s diary? Several online sites let folks do just that, including www.livejournal.com and www .blogspot.com. Voyeurs can leaf through random entries and read about the woes and joys of hundreds of members who have agreed to make their online journals publicly accessible. Much of the musings contain little more than flotsam and jetsam of everyday life, much of it random. Of course, exhibitionists can sign up and bare their souls, too.
