Singer-songwriter Bunny Hull, whose film and TV credits are stellar and lengthy, has written for and/or sung with Ricky Martin, Celine Dion and Quincy Jones, among many others. She has more than 20 gold and platinum albums to her credit, and won the Grammy for her song “New Attitude,” performed by Patti LaBelle. So it’s not surprising that there’s not a cutesy lyric or cloying note in her feel-good album and book for children.

Hull’s big, joyful sound infuses this child-centric but adult-pleasing celebration of peace with a message summed up in the second track, “A World of Difference”: “We are one in a world of difference; we are one in a world of love.”

The cassette is accompanied by a coloring book illustrated by award-winning artist Synthia Saint James (creator of the Kwanzaa postal stamp), with activities, song lyrics and Hull’s story “The Truth About Friendship,” narrated by actress Elayn J. Taylor.
