Theater Festival Seeks Submissions of Short Works

Writers are invited to submit original works of 15 minutes or less to be performed in the 16th annual Playwrights Express, presented by nonprofit theater group FirstStage, as a marathon performance festival beginning April 6 at Hollywood United Methodist Church, 6817 Franklin Ave.

The deadline is March 22. The works will be assigned to a director, rehearsed and performed by professional actors for an audience on one of the festival’s four days. All rights remain the property of the author.

Each submission should include a check for a tax-deductible fee of $30 and enough script copies for the actors and director.
